Industrial Designer

Yacht Design Works is a collaborative design group based in Clearwater, Florida, specializing in the marine industry. Founded in 2017 we offer a wide range of services, including new boat designs, model refreshes, custom builds, product design, boat refits, and more. Our team of designers and creators are committed to creating meaningful and functional designs with a refined eye. We are dedicated to seeing projects through from concept to completion, ensuring the highest quality of results.

Our process involves defining scope, creating concepts, refining designs, utilizing the latest technology to bring the design to life visually, and then seeing it through to the final build.
With our passion for design and commitment to excellence, we are able to tackle any challenge our clients may have.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop, execute design concepts from concept to completion for various projects
- Create visually appealing and engaging designs for custom and production boat building

- Strong ability at sketching and ideation.
- 2D and 3D concept development at a quickly to get a concept approved and into development
- Apply design principles to effectively communicate messages working within establish criteria within an team setting
- Develop and present design ideas to clearly and with achievable results
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in design
- Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Experience:
- Experience as a designer
- Proficient in Rhino 7 (3D Development, Tooling Files, 2D Production Documentation), Rendering Software, Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong understanding FRP construction, Tooling, Cabinetry Construction, Upholstery construction, documentation, hardware design and development
- Ability to illustrate and sketch ideas quickly and effectively
